Psychoanalysis
"We are always more complicated than our explanations of ourselves." -Adam Phillips
Analysis is an invitation to befriend your own mystery. It's a space where you can stop making sense and start making meaning, where the stories you tell about yourself can finally exhale and reveal what they've been hiding.
This isn't therapy with goals and objectives—it's an exploration of the unconscious currents that move through your life, the dreams that visit you, the slips of tongue that tell truth, the repetitions that feel like fate but might actually be choice. We'll follow the thread of your associations wherever they lead, trusting that your psyche knows what it needs to reveal.
In analysis, we work with frequency and intensity—multiple sessions per week—because transformation requires immersion. You'll lie on the couch not to avoid eye contact, but to turn your attention inward, to listen to the internal voices that have been drowned out by the noise of daily life.
What analysis offers:
A laboratory for exploring your inner world
Freedom from the tyranny of having to make sense
Deep investigation of repetitive patterns
Relationship with your unconscious
Permission to be contradictory, complicated, human
The commitment:
2-4 sessions per week
Open-ended timeframe
Willingness to not know
Curiosity about your own mystery
Tolerance for discomfort and revelation
